Last Night a DJ Saved My Life

Our mission

The Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation unites the global dance music community to raise vital awareness and funds for humanitarian and environmental causes.

Who do we support?

The Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation hand picks charities and organisations that we feel need support. By becoming an efficient central hub for the global dance music industry, and with the help of all the DJs, promoters, clubbers and venues out there, we can show how much of a difference dance music can make. Get involved!

Frequently Asked Questions

What was the inspiration behind LNADJ?

Quite simply, the thought that there should be a way to harness the unity, community, & serious fun that dance music inspires in clubs globally every night & to transform it into positive actions that would benefit worthy causes around the world. We combined hedonism with humanism & Last Night a DJ Saved My Life was born. It is now a registered UK charity.

What is the aim of LNADJ?

Our aim is to reach out to the dance music community to encourage & enable it to support charitable causes.

We can see the dance community already becoming involved in many charitable events worldwide & our intention is to create a focus point where these acts of kindness can be identified and used to inspire others to do the same

We want to become a portal to report and publicise charity events which are happening throughout the global dance community by using the help and support of others to let us know about them so we can do so.

The more of our community which use LNADJ as a focus, the more we are able to highlight the dance community’s ability & willingness to make a positive contribution to the world we live in.
We are building a fundraising platform, which will enable the community to create their own profile page and immediately start fundraising for their own chosen charitable causes
We have an ever expanding database of DJs, promoters & a multitude of other contacts to enable those from our community who want to support charities to be able to connect with them. We are also a point of contact for charities who wish to use dance music to further their cause but have no connections in the dance music world.

How can a charity benefit from your foundation?

We are here to aid charities to get closer to the dance community. With our extensive network within the community we can offer support for events.

If a given charity is requiring a DJ to perform at one of their fundraising events we can communicate on behalf of the charity and find a DJ, which suits their needs.

We are also open for suggestions in anyway which charities feel our skills and network can help them achieve their goals.

By identifying specific projects which need support we can look at ways in which we can help raise awareness and funds.

What charitable work are you doing?

We act as a foundation, which raises vital awareness and funds for charitable causes.  Rather than ourselves trying to do the work, which others are already clearly successfully doing we are focusing on rallying support from the dance community.

By researching humanitarian, environmental & social charities which we feel are delivering maximum effectiveness we are then able offer this information to those who choose to support charitable causes.

Do you plan to host’s events?

Through our experience we have decided in the early stages of this foundation that we will be far more effective by partnering with others who are already hosting successful events and offering them a charitable mechanism to their event or events.

As our organisation grows and the resources are there we will be looking to host one off events in the future.

What charities / events have you been involved with?

We launched in the UK with a weekender in June 2010 staged at the Corsica Studios & The Light Bar. This was raising awareness for Survival International.

Pride in Brighton was a roaring success in 2011 with over 8000 people in the dance tent and raising funds for Terrance Higgins trust.

Working with a local ecology project we raised funds for the Ibiza Limpia campaign by partnering with We Love and raising funds at Space club Ibiza.

Where are you based?

We are based both in Ibiza and Brighton (UK) which gives access to an amazing network of contacts. Originally the concept was started in Ibiza and we decided to register it within the UK, the home to many other recognised global charities.

How can a promoter wanting to support a charity get involved?

By contacting us we can look at various suitable fundraising methods to incorporate within their event.  info@lastnightadjsavedmylife.org

Can the promoter choose which cause to support?

Yes, we believe it is vital to our success for us to allow the promoter to choose a suitable charity which is close to their heart.

We are also able to offer suggestions based on our research if the promoter prefers this.

We are international promoters can we also get involved?

Our aim is to attract as many global promoters to use LNADJ to show the unity our global community has.

We are currently looking for global ambassadors to represent LNADJ in many countries across the globe.

How can I get involved?

Please contact us via info@lastnightadjsavedmylife.org and suggest what skills you can offer along with the amount of time you are able to commit to LNADJ.

With so many areas of work needed we can for sure find an area which your skills will be utilised.

We are grateful for any support and this all helps to keep costs down and make the running of the foundation more effective

Do I need to work in the dance music industry to get involved?

No!! Please see the above question for more info.

Can we use your LNADJ logo for our event, music release or website?

As long as there is some charitable fundraising being actioned by the promoter or the artist then we actively encourage this practice. We would like to see our logo appearing on all promotions of anyone who is supporting charitable giving within the dance community.

Can we use the LNADJ network to promote our charity event?

Absolutely! We offer full support throughout our social networking sites. By providing us with the details of your event we will make sure it gets maximum exposure on our sites.  In order for our network to continue to grow we ask in return to feature our logo and link wherever possible.

How is LNADJ funded?

At present all individuals involved have privately funded the project in order to make it happen. We are looking at many sponsorship opportunities & merchandising to finance the admin costs of the charity. If you would like to get involved in this area or have any suggestions please get in touch with us.

What’s  happening in 2012?

After receiving our charitable status in June 2011 has meant we can roll out lots of plans ,which we were unable to without the number. 2012 for us is all about effective win win partnerships ,which will enable us to maximize our fund raising capabilities in many ways and continue to grow organically .

Ibiza summer season 2012 we are expanding our fundraising to more promoters and will also be looking to support more charities from the funds raised.

Already news is in that we have now expanded to fund raising at all 16 events that WE LOVE @ space are hosting.

After months of planning we have been given the greenlight by the UK government to stage a national DJ competition all around the UK raising funds , this will be publicized in the spring.
Another fantastic partnership with one of Britain’s most successful charity challenge company’s called Global Enduro.  We are forming a new company called Adventure Party People ,which will be delivering a host of international fundraising challenges with a party twist to them.  News to follow end of March.
