DMC World DJ Championships - 2010

BPMThe DMC DJ Championship started at DMC's first DJ Convention in London in 1985. A young Londoner called Roger Johnson won the first event which wasn't recorded and hardly featured a scratch! The venue was The Hippodrome and at the time was London's premier and largest club.

Its 2010 and bigger than ever.  This year the 2010 final was at KOKO Camden England and LNADJ were there by personal invitation.  What an amazing time we had. Thanks to the Tony and Sally at the DMC, our massive sponsors Vestax and all the competitors and friends who took the time to come and say hello.

It is attended by DJs, producers, performers, promoters, venue owners/managers, equipment retailers/installers, record label representatives, students and many others who simply have an interest in DJing or dance music.

In 2010, Last Night a DJ Saved My Life teamed up with Vestax to introduce the foundation to the world's leading companies within dance music. We had a great weekend meeting some wonderful people and it's now a solid date in LNADJ's calendar. See some of our images from the event here.

The Art of Preservation Auction

The Art of Preservation

In September one of the Ibiza Preservation Fund's first events took place in the stunning surroundinga of Atzaro.

As well as numerous works of art donated for the auction, the event also featured the talents of four Ibiza based LNADJ supporting DJs Jon Sa Trinxa, Mr. Doris, Daisy Heartbreaker and Antz.

Despite the unfamiliar and constant rain, the event was a great succes - introducing islanders to both new projects and raising some well needed funds in the process. You can read more about the IPF objectives here.
